Lucas Oil brings Drag Boat Nationals back to Thompson Bay. Top drag boats can clear a 1,000 ft. course in just 3.3 seconds at over 260 mph. Lake Havasu provides some of the finest surfaces on the schedule, so spectators are in for one hell of a thrill. Attendees can watch from Lake Havasu City’s recently renovated 40 acre Rotary Park.
This will be the 8th race in the nine race national series.
The event is bigger and better than last year, with an extended schedule to allow for coverage by Network TV. Food vendors, a beer garden and other activities and displays will be available for attendees all three days.
Single day tickets range from $5 to $20, with three day passes available for just $40. In the words of Todd Taylor, logistics and event planning manager for Lucas Oil. “The racers and crews are very excited to come back here, it’s a great community, and one of our favorite races.”
